For Orient Thai, no plans to return to Don Mueang
Orient Thai Airlines says it has opted not to relocate its base back to Don Mueang because of uncertain state policy over the role of Bangkok’s old airport.

Nok Air back at Don Mueang
Nok Air on Tuesday morning became the first low-cost airline operator to resume flights from Don Mueang Airport. The first flight, from Bangkok to Udon Thani, took off at about 6am. Other morning flights for the airline included flights from Bangkok to Ubon Ratchathani and to Nakhon Si Thammarat.
Don Mueang to reopen April 1
Flood-ravaged Don Mueang airport will reopen for full commercial operations in April 1, Airports of Thailand president Aniruth Thanomkulbutr said Monday.
Inspections confirmed the runway surfaces on the western and eastern sides of the airport are still strong. Water, electricity and other services have been repaired, he said.
The AOT chief said Orient Thai and Nok Air could return to their bases at Don Mueang on April 1, 2011. The two domestic airlines switched their operations to Suvarnabhumi airport because of this year’s great flood.
THAI Technical Department at Don Mueang Reopens
Mr. Piyasvasti Amranand , THAI President, said the THAI’s Technical Department in Don Mueang has reopened after the heavy flooding which resulted in temporary closure as of 26 October 2011 until now.
Don Mueang airport ‘dry’
Flood levels in Bangkok’s Don Muang district have receded and Don Mueang airport is now dry, police said Thursday.
The police said there was no floodwater on Song Prapa Road, from Don Muang temple to Pracha Uthit intersection.However, the flood level from Pracha Uthit intersection to Sri Saman Bridge was about sidewalk level.

Froc to dry Don Mueang area in one week
