Great laptop case for a larger laptop,
I’ve had this case for about a year now, and I really like it and still feel that it’s the perfect case for my laptop. I agonized over which case to buy–which one would have the right amount of pockets or would fit my laptop well, and whether or not I would prefer a backpack type of case. I have a 16″ laptop, and at the time I was looking for a case (about a year ago), I had a difficult time finding cases specifically for that size laptop. Cases for a 15.6″ laptop were just a bit too small, so I started looking at 17″ cases.
This case fits my laptop perfectly. My laptop slides into the padded laptop section easily and fits with no problem, even though I have an over-sized 9-hour battery attached. I don’t have to remove the battery to fit the laptop in the case. This laptop also has another separate zipper-enclosed space meant for file folders or notebooks or whatever. I have a Targus Lap Chill Mat AWE55US (Black with Gray), and this fits in there perfectly. When I travel, I always have my chill mat/lapdesk with me.
One of the best features of this laptop case is the front zipper part that opens wide, so that you have easy access to all the inside pockets where you would likely keep your laptop mouse, external hard drive, and possibly a phone, iPod, or whatever else you might carry with you. There is also another zipper pocket on the front of that where I keep my cord. In addition, there is a small pocket by the carry handles which is probably for easy access to a cell phone, but it’s a large enough pocket that you could probably fit a cell phone and an iPod in there or your mouse or something else.
The back of the case is made so that you can attach it to a wheeled suitcase for easy carrying, though I’ve never tried this because I don’t have a wheeled bag. This is also a Checkfast bag, though I haven’t tried that feature either.
What I also like about this bag is that it’s also good for carrying my laptop around on a daily basis. It’s easy to get the laptop in and out, all the accessories are easily accessible. I don’t feel like I’m carrying a suitcase. When open it seems like it’s a huge bag, but it zips up compact–at least about the average size of a laptop case. Everything I need for my laptop fits into this case, and I feel the case gives the laptop good protection.
This laptop case had all the features I wanted, but I also bought this laptop case because it did not have any leather on it. I actually dislike leather, so if there is anyone else out there who cares about that, this is a no-leather case. The carry handles are reinforced nylon–very sturdy and attached in such a way that they don’t feel flimsy–sewn right into the seam. The handles have a little bit of padding so that your hands won’t get too chafed while carrying. There is also a shoulder strap which I don’t usually use, but if you like to carry your laptop that way, it works well enough.
After a year of using this laptop case, I still like it enough that I bought a second one today for my parents.
Edited to add: I wasn’t sure this case would be the right size for my parents’ 17.3″ laptop (HP dvt7), but they say it fits perfectly, and they like the case also.

|Love it!,
I’m a Realtor so I tote around a lot of “stuff”. This bag has a place for everything and keeps everything in its place. It’s not particularly stylish but makes up for it in functionality. It’s exactly what I was looking for!

|Top notch materials and workmanship,
This is a quality laptop case. I bought one last year, and have been so pleased with it that I ordered another one for our second laptop. The case accommodates a 17 inch laptop (Dell or Toshiba) without any problems, with plenty of room for accessories (mouse, charger, etc). This bag looks great, feels great, and gets A+ for aesthetics. I do not give 5 stars often, but SOLO Sterling laptop case deserves every one of them. Highly recommended.
